The making of Crème de la Cookie is a sweet story. Founder, Toni Rivard, claims to have been born with a chocolate spoon in her mouth. A passionate baker with an eye for the fabulous, Rivard took her love for entertaining and mixed it with her culinary hobby.
Toni soon embarked on a delightful adventure to build a female owned business catering to those sharing her love of baked goods. Toni discovered an appetizing social culture existed within the dessert industry-and she was about to consume her corner of the market.
Prior to opening Crème de la Cookie in Texas, Toni started competing for culinary titles in Orange County, California. Toni’s cookie won “The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie in Orange County” title out of eighty-eight entries. Now Toni’s Chocolate Chip Cookies are known world-wide thanks to ForbesTraveler.com.
The prestigious Forbes Traveler website is backed by the Forbes Brand and has a combined reached of fifty million people. Forbes Traveler recognized Toni’s cookies for their luxurious ingredients such as Schokinag Chocolate from Germany. The magazine’s 2009 featurette on Toni’s now famous “OMG Chocolate Chip Cookies” speaks to the quality of product, beauty in packaging, affordability and sheer magnificent taste she has come to perfect.
Toni Rivard’s addicting desserts have landed her the title of a local socialite with her baked goods gaining nationwide fame quickly. She is constantly developing unique desserts that appeal to the eye and taste buds. Her recipes cater to a wide-demographic from clientele hosting the utmost discriminating of tastes to those in need of something reminding them of grandma’s Sunday baking.
Rivard has defined what is means to be an upscale bakery with down-home taste. Toni recently was a judge for a charity event called “Cupcake Wars” at NorthPark Center in Texas.
